Persuasive Writing

WALT: express an opinion and use powerful starters for each paragraph to persuade the reader to agree with my opinion

I am certain that dogs are the best pets you can have. There is nothing better than a fluffy friend to pick you up when you're down.

The main reason I think that dogs are the best pets is that they are easy to train. For example they can be taught to roll over, play fetch, shake hands, speak on command and play dead.

Another reason that dogs are the best pets is that they are loyal to you, They will help you, they will protect you, and they will die for you.

Finally, pet dogs are the best pets because they are great guards. They will guard your house and guard you for life. Take my dog Blue for instance, he's a great guard and he's only 1 year old. Every time someone comes near the gate he starts barking madly.

In conclusion dogs are great pets because they are easy to train and they're loyal to you and are great guards.

Temperature

WALT fined the average temperature for the 5 day forecast.

To fined the average temperature for these 5 days I have to add all the temperatures together.
The total of temperatures = 83

The next step is to divide the total by the number of days.

   65 divided by 5 = 23.2
   The average temperature is 23.2
